Between the years 1999 and 2000 ASOEX begins promotional activities in South Korea, with a campaign that, just like in Japan, used the Humboldt penguin cartoon mainly intending to capture the attention of an infant audience and to motivate the Chilean fresh fruit consumption in the Korean family. This was focused in promoting the national varieties of table grapes and kiwi in the selling point, in distributing promotional data, in propagating the Chilean industry web page, as well as the management of journalistic articles and advertisements for strategy presses.

Thanks to the Free Trade Agreement between Chile and the Republic of Korea, within 2002 and 2004, the visit of Korean television networks to Chile is conducted, with the goal to display the comparative advantages of our fruit industry, its technological level, and how it complements with the Korean production. Likewise, ASOEX also programmed visits to Chile of representative delegations of the public sector, producers, and private importers of South Korea.
