LA ARAUCANÍA

The Andes dominate the Araucanía region, which has a rich geography of ancient volcanoes, lush forests and crystal clear lakes.

The area is a very popular tourist destination but also remains an active agricultural zone.

Well known for its apples and pears, the Araucanía region has recently begun exporting quality cherries and berries.
